We offer bespoke lampshades handcrafted using an array of rescued true- vintage fabrics from the 60s and 70’s

Chairs

Using various painting and restoration techniques we re-craft various pieces of furniture destined for landfill offering them a new fun and bright beginning.

Upholstery

We specialise in reupholstering small items of furniture destined for landfill such as chairs, tables, headboards reviving them using funky retro and vintage fabrics

Tables

We take the purpose of everyday items such as shipping pallets and used car tyres and turn it on its head by re-purposing them into practical and stylish tables and storage ottomans. We provide a bespoke design service for those looking for something original and unique piece that they won’t find anywhere else

Kids

Using our imagination and creative vision we repurpose used and unloved pieces of furniture transforming them into unique quirky original pieces of furniture which are loved by kids and adults alike.

Retro Space Furniture is a creative Irish furniture and homewares design company based in Killybegs, Co. Donegal. Sustainability is the key element which underpins all our designs. So in 2015 we began using our creative vision and skill to re-create discarded household items which were destined for landfill, and giving them a new lease of life by transforming them into quirky unique pieces for modern stylish consumers to use and enjoy.

  • Of all furniture goes to landfill
  • A Landfill reduction target that is set at 427,000 tonnes by 16th July 2016
  • 10 million household items are sent to landfill each year
  • 3 million of these items could be re-used
